"I wanted to create a place where women in Kenya could access world-class luxury without having to travel across continents to find it."
It began with a trip to Istanbul. Walking through the Grand Bazaar, past rooms draped in silk and shelves lined with embroidered lace, our founder felt something she had never experienced in a boutique back home — the feeling of being overwhelmed by beauty, completely and joyfully lost in it.
She returned to Nairobi with a single kaftan. Her friends fell in love with it instantly. They wanted one. Then another. Before long, she was fielding more questions than she could answer — "Where did you get this?" "Can you get me one?" "What about for my wedding?"
That kaftan was the beginning of Layali Luxe Kenya. What started as informal sourcing for friends became something far greater — a curated boutique dedicated to bringing the world's most exceptional modest fashion, bridal wear, and occasionwear to the women of Kenya, without compromise on quality, authenticity, or elegance.
"I realised that Kenyan women had been underserved. We have the taste, the occasion, and the desire for true luxury — we just didn't have a home for it. Layali Luxe was built to be that home."
In Arabic, Layali means nights — but not just any nights. It speaks of evenings draped in velvet skies, of celebrations that last until the stars fade, of moments so beautiful they are remembered long after the sun rises again.
We chose this name because clothing, at its truest and most luxurious, is not merely what you wear — it is what you feel. It is the gown that makes you stand taller at your sister's wedding. The kaftan that turns a dinner into a moment. The abaya that carries you through the day with quiet, powerful grace.
Layali Luxe was built for those moments. For your nights. For your story.
Growing up in Nairobi, I was always drawn to clothing that told a story. Not the logo. Not the price tag. The story — the hands that stitched it, the tradition it carried, the woman who first imagined it.
When I walked into a small atelier in Istanbul and watched an artisan hand-embroider a bridal veil with thread finer than a whisper, I understood something profound: this level of care is a form of love. And I wanted to bring that love home to Kenya.
Every piece at Layali Luxe has been touched, considered, and chosen with intention. We do not simply import clothing — we curate experiences. We travel to Turkey, to South and East Asia, to the wider world of modest fashion, and we ask one question of everything we bring back: "Would I give this to someone I love?"
If the answer is yes, it earns its place at Layali Luxe. If it doesn't, it goes back on the rail. That is our standard — not a number, not a trend, but a feeling.
Thank you for trusting us with your moments. It is an honour we do not take lightly.
We never stock for volume. Every kaftan, gown, abaya, and accessory in our collection has earned its place. We travel, we touch, we wear — and only then do we share. Quality is not our promise; it is our process.
The traditions behind our pieces — Ottoman embroidery, South Asian handwork, Moroccan weaving — are centuries old. We are stewards of that craft. When you wear a Layali Luxe piece, you carry a thread of history with you.
We do not sell fashion. We dress women. Our service begins the moment you contact us and does not end until you feel exactly the way you imagined. Every woman who walks through our door leaves feeling seen, valued, and beautiful.
Modesty is not a constraint — it is a canvas. We believe the most elegant silhouettes are those that leave something to the imagination. Every piece we carry is thoughtfully designed for the woman who values both faith and fashion.
We are a proudly Kenyan business. We source globally but we serve locally. The women of Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, and every corner of Kenya deserve access to world-class luxury — and we are committed to making that a reality, every single day.
We understand that a wedding gown is not just clothing — it is a memory. That is why custom orders are at the core of what we do. Tell us your vision, and we will build the bridge between your dream and the perfect dress.
A personal trip to Istanbul sparks a revelation — the world of Turkish fashion is extraordinary, and Kenya deserves access to it. The first kaftan returns to Nairobi.
What began as casual gifting becomes a chorus of requests. Friends of friends are placing orders. The idea of a formal boutique begins to take shape — driven entirely by the hunger of Nairobi women for something extraordinary.
The boutique officially opens its doors — online and by appointment in Nairobi. The first collection features kaftans, abayas, and modest occasion wear sourced exclusively from Turkey. The response is immediate and overwhelming.
Responding to client requests, the bridal suite launches with Turkish wedding gowns and South Asian-inspired bridal wear. Sourcing trips expand to Pakistan, India, and the UAE. Custom order enquiries triple overnight.
Nationwide delivery is introduced, reaching clients from Mombasa to Kisumu, Eldoret to Nakuru. The boutique ships its first international order. Layali Luxe becomes a household name in Kenyan luxury modest fashion.
With a growing collection, an expanding team, and a community of loyal women who trust us with their most special moments — we are only just beginning. The best chapters of Layali Luxe Kenya are still being written.
We will never rush you. We will never sell you something that doesn't feel right. We will always answer your message, honour your vision, and stand behind every stitch. From your first enquiry to the moment you step into your Layali Luxe piece for the first time — we are with you, every step of the way.
Because this is not just fashion. This is how you show up for your wedding, your mother's celebration, your sister's graduation, your own quiet Tuesday evening when you simply want to feel like the magnificent woman you are.
